Beautifully broken: Kintsugi. 2019. 82x82cm. Acrylic and cotton twine on canvas.
$4000
(Coincidentally, it came out looking very Easter- inspired!)
Based on the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with gold, this piece is very much a reflection of my present journey. Finding and putting myself back together again and again, and learning to grow with the strength and resilience gained from the experience.
The canvas and the frame were built in-studio by the artist. The frame was made from Tasmanian Oak (frame) and Pine (base) wood with d-rings and hanging cord attached to the back.
