It was time I painted a large version of our bird of paradise. I worked from a photo taken in our backyard and decided to tackle it in acrylic instead of my usual oil paint. In addition to being a larger version of my 8"x10" panel painting, this is also a more mature version of the flower in the small painting. I basically painted the mum version of the first painting.
