I took a photo of this big, beautiful tree and bench at Diamond Head in Hawaii back in 2011. The instant I saw it, I had these romantic ideas of how I wanted to paint it someday and give it a kind of fantasy storybook feel. I created the frame specifically for this painting, with the walnut stain complementing the wood of the tree.
